Tinker Sassy Tag

Hi. I've got a bit of a late blog tonight. With it being the school holidays I'm busying myself with children's crafts with my daughter. I have however found some time to create a tag for the Dare to be Sassy Thursday Challenge Blog called Tag you're it. This Challenge Blog can be found here. They also have a Facebook group here.

I decided to make a tag using Sassy Studio Designs Tinker Sassy digital stamp. To find their beautiful stamps please click here. I've coloured her with Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils. I've used a die from a Spellbinders Marrocan Accents die set. I cut it out five times and added them around the image to use as a frame. I then attached some coloured wool to complete the tag. I've embellished with flower punches coloured, shaped and layered up. The sentiment is from a Peachy Keens stamp set PK-121 Fairies and Girl Gnomes. Ok so here is a picture of the finished product.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog today. It means so much to me.

Bunny Easter Card

Hi everyone. I made this card for my 6 year old daughter during the week for Easter. After the tradgic loss of my Mother In Law I haven't blogged it. To add it into the Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge I am blogging it now. This is a Greda Steiner Designs digital stamp called Nerdy But Nice Bunny. I received this image as part of Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge. But this digital stamp can be purchased here.

I wanted to make a Easter card for my daughter who loves how cute Gerda Steiner Designs images are. So this bunny is perfect. She loves the colour pink and my 3D flowers. I've coloured the bunny using Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils. The Easter Egg has been made using The Brother Scan N Cut. I used a pre made shape within the system and edited it by adding the heart shapes to the design. I coloured that with watercolour pencils. The sentiment is from a Peachy Keens Easter stamp set. I made the flower by cutting out the shape. Colouring them in with Spectrum Noir Markers, shaping them and layering them up.

She loved the card. She came over to me, gave me a big hug and said "thank you Mummy, but I haven't made you one yet." Bless her.

The challenges that I'd like to enter this card into are

The Gerda Steiner Designs Share Your Designs Challenge which can be found here.

The Outlawz March Monthly Progressive Challenge which can be found here.

Also I'd like to add this card into the In The Pink Challenge Blog called Spring Flowers. This challenge can be here. I hope that this card is pink enough.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.
Happy crafting everybody.

Sad news

Hi. I'm doing a non crafting post today. I'm posting to show my love and respect for a very special lady Vivienne Holden. I know that there are lots of people. Parents, Grandparents and Children who are going to have a lovely day being Easter Sunday. But last night a very special lady. A lovely, kind, caring, amazing lady left us. She was taken from us to early by cancer. She tried her best to fight it but unfortunately and very suddenly things got to much for her. Leaving behind her Husband, four Son's and Grandchildren.

To me she was like my second Mum. I'm her oldest Son Barry's Parter and Mother of two of her Grandchildren Teigan (her first Granddaughter) who loves her so much and Oliver (who is nearly two.) She showed me, taught me and shared with me many things including her love for crafting. She helped me find my creative calling. I often sit and read through Viv's blog. It's inspires me to create card but not all about card. She write about her family, friends, events that are going on in her life at that time and her feeling. Much like a online diary. It's so lovely to read through. I wish you were still with us.

This is a picture we took Viv and baby Oliver in 2014. This was the first time she met him. As you can see by this picture. She was bursting with pride. Such a happy time. I will treasure it always.

This is Viv and Teigan. Teigan loves her Nana so much. She will miss her deeply. She does have lots of lovely memories of all the fun times they had together to remember her by.
She will be loved by so many always and missed terribly.

Vintage Style Clover

Hi. I decided to make a vintage style type of card. I've used one of Sassy Studio Designs digital stamp called Clover. Sassy Studio Designs have lots of beautiful digital stamps on the online shop that can be found here.

I've coloured her with Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils. I've coloured the background paper which was white with Vintage Photo and Wild Honey Rangers Distress Inks. The dies I've used are Tonic scalloped circle trellis die with inked up edge. I've also used Marianne Designs clock die set. The sentiment is from a Peachy Keens stamp set. To finish of this card I've handmade these tiny roses. I cut circles out of paper and inked them up. Then I cut them into spirals, rolled them up and stuck them together.

I'd like to enter this card into Sassy Studio Designs Facebook group Monthly Progressive Challenge. This months digital stamp is Clover. Come along and join in with the challenge here.

From The Heart Digging Dog

Hi. I hope your having a nice day. Today I've created this card. I've used a From The Heart Digital Stamp Set called Digging Dog. You can buy this from their website here. I got this digital stamp set for free as I bought and  joined in with last months Progressive Challenge. You can join in with this challenge here.

I've used a sketch layout for this card. I wanted to use paw prints washi tape buy I didn't have any. So I created my own washi tape with paw print stamps, Rangers Distress Ink Vintage Photo colour and I stamped them onto masking tape. I drew out a bone shape and hand wrote the sentiment in it. There was sentiments within the stamp set but non that I wanted for this particular card. I coloured the digital image with Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils.

I'd like to enter this card into the From The Heart I{heart}Sketch with a twist number 143 Challenge. The twist is use a embellishment from your stash. This challenge can be found here.

I'd also like to enter this card into the From The Heart March Progressive Challenge which can be found here.

Let It Go Sassy Shaker Card

Hi. I've created a card with a digial stamp I won. I entered The Sassy Studio Designs Facebook February Progressive Challenge and came second in her top three. You can join in with this months Progressive Challenge here. This stamp is called Let It Go Sassy and can be found in there online shop here.

As it's a card for a child I wanted it to be interactive. So I made it a shaker card. Using sequins sealed in the card. I did it by using acetate, a frame to stick it to and foam pads all the way round to seal it in. To add a bit of interest I added some Xcut floral flourish dies. I made 3D snow flake flowers using a small flower punch. Within my collection of rubber stamps I found this sentiment stamp. I thought would be perfect for this card but it's not got any information on it about who created the stamp so I'm unsure who made it sorry. To finish of I've used a embossing folder for the background. I've coloured using Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils. I hope that you like it.

I'd like to enter this card into the CCC Digi Creations Challenge Blog which is called Add Some Sparkle. This is my second card for this challenge. You can find and join in with this challenge here.

I'd also like to enter this card into the Art By MiRan Challenge blog called Anything Goes. This challenge can be found here.

Spring Bunny with Carrots

Hello again. Two posts in on day. I'm back with another Progressive Challenge. This time Gerda Steiner Designs March Progressive Challenge digital stamp. For joining in with last months challenge I obtained this months digital stamp for free. This challenge can be found here. If you haven't joined in before you can however buy this bunny. Join in with the challenge and get next months image for free. You can find this bunny here.
To create this card I've coloured using Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded with pencils. I used a Xcut shape die to create the hole in the card and all the frames. I then cut strips of card stock and coloured them. I then stuck the ones going across to a frame and wove the longer strips going down to create a handmade trellis. Using the Brother Scan and Cut to create flowers and the branches and leaves. The branches and leaves are Bird Cards cutting files they can be found here. I also added butterflies to the inside of the card that can be seen from the front of the card.
The bunny digital stamp can be seen through the card. So I decided by using the front of the stamp as a guide to create the back of the bunny by hand. I think it turned out ok.
Here is a picture from the front of the bunny.
And here is a picture from the back.
As well as Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge found here.

Steampunk Themed Bella Bride

Hi. I've made a Steampunk themed card that I'd like to share with you today. I've using a digital stamp called Bella Bride designed by Sassy Studio Designs. There online shop can be found here. I got this digital stamp from there Flash Back Friday on there Facebook group which can be found here.

I've never made a Steampunk themed card before so I wasn't quite sure what to do. So I researched the theme. In the end I loved creating with this theme. I have coloured most of this card using Rangers Distress Inks like watercolours. I used Vintage Photo and Wild Honey colour. I used a Marianne Designs clock die set. Two embossing folders for the background. I needed some cogs/gears but I don't have any dies of them. So I used my brother scan and cut to create some using pre made shapes on the machine and I put them in a way to make the look of cogs/gears and bolts. I think they turned out very well in the end.

I've made this card for the Sassy Studio Designs blog challenge which can be found here. The theme was Steampunk.

I'd like to enter this card into the Create and Inspire Challenge Blog called Anything Goes. This challenge can be found here.

I'd also like to enter this card into Shortbread Challenge blog. The challenge is called Anything Goes. This blog can be found here.

I hope that you like my creation.

Phoenix

Hello. Today I'm sharing a card I've made using Phoenix from Art by Mi Ran. This digital stamp is the first Art by Mi Ran stamp that I've got and it can be found on her online Esty shop here. I descovered the group through Facebook where she has her own group. This group can be found here.
To make this card I've used Spectrum Noir Markers and shaded using pencils. For the background I've embossed the paper and created three embossed tags. I wanted some feathers to match perfectly in colour. So I created my own. I got some card stock cut out the shape and cut into it, rounding/curling the cuts as I went to make the feather look realistic. After I did that all the way on both side I added a extra strip down the centre. It took a little bit of time but I think the effect turned out really nice.
I'd like to enter this card into Mi Ran's Art Progressive Challenge on her Facebook group which can be found here.
I'd also like to enter the Digichooseday Challenge blog which can be found here. The challenge is called Ladies, Ladies, Ladies!
The final challenge I'd like to enter this card into is called Create and Inspire Challenge Blog which is called Anything Goes and can be found here.
